At Workbooks, we think that our customers should have the opportunity to influence our product development priorities.

  1. Ability to add new activity while on the calendar view

    While viewing activities from the calendar view, have the ability to click on a day and add a new activity

  2. Improve switching Employer process & way Workbooks handles people who work for more than one Organisation

    At present if a Person is employed by more than one Organisation and you want to change the 'primary' Employer field in the Person Main tab, you do not have an option to say 'continues to be’ or ‘is also employed by' the original Org (which is very often the case). The system assumes you have either made a mistake (by originally allocating them to the first Org) or they have now left it for the second one. Either of these options will mark the former Organisation as one they used to work for (ie. the Person becomes ‘Ex-employee of’…

  3. GMail Addon

    It would be good to user the new G Suite ( GMail Addons ) for showing data related to the user, who's email that you are viewing. For Example, a sales user, would when opening an email from a user see address, phone number in the Addon. They could also see that they have a task to set up a meeting.

  4. Type ahead in multi-select picklists

    When using multi-select picklists you are unable to type ahead to get a shortlist of the list. You can do this for single value picklists. If we had the ability to type ahead on multi-select picklists this would provide a more consistent behaviour and save time having to scroll potentially long lists to multi-select values.

  5. Allow WOC to synchronise items that you create in Outlook for somebody else's calendar

    Currently, in Outlook, if you create a calendar item in somebody's calendar, you are unable to synchronise this into Workbooks using the Connector.

  6. Extend the group paradigm to all objects.

    Segmenting is key. This is true for contacts (advisors, clients, employees, geographic area, industrial sector, type of services...) but also projects (clients, internal, marketing, cases, HR) etc. Self-populating groups (smart lists) with drag & drop with self-tagging (the item once moved to the list is updated with the list's attributes). Whether you are a small business owner or a mid management director in a large corp, you should have more than one type of project and one type of contacts...

  7. Remove/Change 'Add Competitor' and similar relationship Buttons

    The "Add Competitor" button on the Organisations tab of an Opportunity appears, even if the system has been adjusted to remove that relationship type.

    Ideally, these buttons should be fully customisable but at minimum, it should only should possible relationships.

  8. Notification/alert on record change.

    Add the option to be alerted/notified when a record is changed/saved. For example, receive and alert when a case record is changed. This could be similar to the 'Watch' feature, but the user don't have to go and look for a changed record, a message will notify the user that the record was changed.

  9. Import Options -

    Import Options - As a business we have two types of import mappings depending on whether it is a new quote or editing a existing quote, it would be good if you could name your mappings rather then using a existing mapping

  10. 2FA Integration with Workbooks please?

    We are undergoing ISO27001 security audit for small businesses and there is a requirement should we use web-based applications to be secured using two-factor authentication. We would hope to fulfill this by the end of September and our vendor is quite keen to use us/Workbooks as a case study on their site promoting this. Interested?

    Hi Lorna,

    As discussed, we’re familiar with ISO27001:

    The standard doesn’t define which technology or approach you take to security – but does dictate that you have a framework for identifying and assessing risk, then subsequently have an approach to either accept the risk level as satisfactory or take steps to mitigate the risks identified.

    We already have the capability to implement two factor authentication for you if you require it.

    We can lockdown access to Workbooks from known IP addresses and that coupled with your user authentication credentials should provide suitable two factor authentication. The IP address authentication capability hasn’t been put into the GUI yet. Please contact support if you’d like us to lockdown Workbooks to a set of IP addresses please.

    We are open to other forms of two factor authentication and will consider them in future.

  11. Report on Dropbox emails

    Be able to create a report on emails stored on Workbooks that enables you to bulk delete any extraneous emails that are not assigned to contacts within the system.

  12. Activity Number on the Calendar

    It would be great if when working through activities and we need to move them to another date, we were able to see how many activities they're are on other dates when clicking on the due date calendar within the activity. This would be great because we then make sure we were not putting to many activities on the same date. Hope that makes sense.

  13. Implement a non-working day calendar, primarily to make case reporting easier

    A non-working day calendar would automatically have weekends and UK bank holidays marked as non-working days. Each day in the calendar would have a flag with suitable values. Something along the lines of 0 - (working day), 1 - weekend (non-working day), 2 - public holiday (non working day). When you create a case report you can easily exclude working days by using a criteria that says "working day = 0".

  14. Expand All For Grids

    When viewing a list of 20 items and wanting to view each, I have to expand them [+] one by one. I would like to see an 'expand all' button on the top that will save me those 19 clicks.
