  1. PDF preview

    When generating a PDF on a quote or order, there should be a way to view the PDF document within Workbooks rather than downloading the file and opening it in a separate application.

  2. Improve switching Employer process & way Workbooks handles people who work for more than one Organisation

    At present if a Person is employed by more than one Organisation and you want to change the 'primary' Employer field in the Person Main tab, you do not have an option to say 'continues to be’ or ‘is also employed by' the original Org (which is very often the case). The system assumes you have either made a mistake (by originally allocating them to the first Org) or they have now left it for the second one. Either of these options will mark the former Organisation as one they used to work for (ie. the Person becomes ‘Ex-employee of’…

  3. search

    Change search to include customer name from sales orders. Currently if you search a customer name and limit the search to Sales orders only not results are returned unless the company name has also been included in the Order Name field. This appears to be a limitation in that the system only searches on the reserved field names of NAME and ID. This severely limits the usefulness of the search function and leads to confusion for the users

  4. Custom tabs - show number of records

    There is the ability to create and add custom tabs to a record type based on a Report. However, these custom tabs don't show the number of results, so when I open the record it appears as if there's no data in the tab. So it would be really useful if the number of results could appear in the tab name e.g. Delegates (5)

  5. 'In between' operator for date ranges

    It would be really useful if we had an 'in between' operator when using date ranges within reports. As at the moment the only way of limiting to a specific time frame is by using a combination of 'on or after' and 'on or before'. Is this something that is in the pipeline ?

  6. Gmail copy email Addon

    It is not possible to forward as an attachment from GMail ( GSuite). This is a pain in the use of the dropbox. Therefore, it would be good to have a GMail Addon that when viewing an email, giving the option on a one button press to copy the email to workbooks.
    This amybe done by reformating the email and emailing to the users dropbox, or by using a php process to convert the email data in to an email record for workbooks to understand.

  7. GMail Addon

    It would be good to user the new G Suite ( GMail Addons ) for showing data related to the user, who's email that you are viewing. For Example, a sales user, would when opening an email from a user see address, phone number in the Addon. They could also see that they have a task to set up a meeting.

  8. Ability to vary the width of a dropdown selection box.

    Currently the width of a dropdown selection field on a customer field is determined by the width of the field in the layout. Standard fields like Product have dropdowns with a wider 40 character viewing window which allows for easier record selection. If this functionality can be added to customer fields it would improve the usability.

  9. Add criteria to mailing lists

    Having criteria on a mailing list would be beneficial. It would allow multiple mailing lists to be powered from a single summary view of a report. Something that would be far cleaner than 1 summary view per mailing list as it currently is.

  11. Ability to change currency at quotation, order and invoice stages

    We have a number of customers who return at the point of sale to ask for a amended order in a different currency. As we cannot delete or amend the existing quote or invoice we are forced to 'scrub' it as best we can and then alter the currency from the existing opportunity, creating a new quote and resulting invoice. This process is time consuming and messy and could easily be avoided if currency could be converted at any stage

    We already have this option available on Opportunities, so we will look to replicate this on the other Transaction Documents in a future release.

    For now, it might be an idea to create a custom field on your Quotes/Invoices that stores the status of the document, e.g. ‘Rejected – currency change required’. This would make it easier to exclude the documents from your Reports and Landing Pages, meaning you do not have to ‘scrub’ the document, but simply change the status and create a new one.

  12. Ability to transfer configuration changes between databases

    We would like the ability to duplicate data between our Demo database which we use for confirming customisation configuration before we implement them into our live, which is quiet time consuming as we end up create the same changes twice.
    What would be good is to be able to select a specific landing page within our demo database & sync with our live database.

  13. Convert Email to Contact and Covert Email to Opportunity

    It would be nice to be able to convert an email I receive in my outlook to contact and/or opportunity straight through outlook connector. Other software packages already offer this.

  14. Ability to sync [synchronise] database for offline use on mobile devices

    We want to have the ability to use WorkBooks on mobile devices where there is poor or no service available for mobile devices. Effectively this would involve a synced [synchronised] version of the database on the mobile device app which could be accessed in an offline mode and could be updated as required in this state. On gaining either a WiFi or network data connection the database changes would be synchronised with the master database. Our staff are unable to use WorkBooks where there isn't a reliable data connection and so the product becomes unusable.

  15. Change way Email Addresses are recorded to make it easier to handle multiple addresses for same person

    Workbooks is not great in the way it handles multiple email addresses for a Person. It would be much better if these could form a list (unlimited, within reason) in the Main tab with a descriptor (eg. Work1, Work2, Home etc. - but free text please) and a Personal/Work check box against each (determining whether or not emails attach to Organisation or not) - plus an option to select a 'primary' email from a drop-down list (ie. the one that would be used by mailing systems, mail-merge etc.).   16. Copy Database (deleting records and audits before copy is made) - Storage Solution

    While copying an existing LIVE database, the user should have the ability to delete things like audits, records, etc... made after a curtain date so that the NEW database has only records made AFTER a curtain point, but the LIVE database retains all record types. (removes storage limitations so a user can copy more databases over without buying more storage)

  17. Make actual picklist values selectable from a list, rather than have to type the value

    In filters and reporting criteria, it would be much nicer if you could select picklist values rather than have to manually type. Basically, very similar functionality to the filters functionality in Microsoft Excel.

    This is a good idea, and would also help to reduce the risk of reports breaking when picklist values are changed or deleted. We will consider adding this into a future release.

  18. Show Individual Repeating Meetings within the calendar view or grid view.

    Currently I create new meetings from within the Case tab so they become automatically related to the case so I can see the specific schedule for that case just by opening the case. The problem is, If I create a meeting that repeats, only the first meeting date shows both in the grid view and calendar view. Basically I'd like to suggest this replicates when viewing activities using the Activities in the calendar view or grid view. This would save time in having to filter the activity view for specific cases.

  20. add last 6/12 months option on calendar range criteria

    It would be of great value for our reporting to have a last 12 months option on the calendar range as we don't really report on year to date. This would allow us to have more efficient report by reducing calculated column and other manipulation once the date is exported.
