At Workbooks, we think that our customers should have the opportunity to influence our product development priorities.

  1. Ability to add meetings (normal and recurring) along with the meeting attendees via WOA

    We would like to add meetings - normal appoints and recurring meetings to Workbooks via the WOA. Also, if this could add the attendees, it would be great. It could flag attendees who are already not present in the CRM, hence enabling users to add the newly found people.

  2. Multiselect Picklist based on a report

    It is desired to have the ability to create multiselect Picklists based on reports, resulting in the multiselect picklist being dynamic. I.e. when the report is being updated (automatically) it would result in new values being added to the multiselect picklist.

  3. Send confirmation email, when raising a case through case portal.

    A desired feature would be to send a confirmation email (to acknowledged that the case has been raised) to the person who raised a the case via the case portal.

  4. Two-way relationship for Tasks and Meetings (related items)

    Add the ability to create two-way relationships (related items) for tasks and meetings; In some instances Related items only works as a one-way, relationship. Take the following example, I Relate ‘Task 1’ to ‘Meeting 1’, which results in ‘Meeting 1’ appearing as a Related Item on ‘Activity 1’, and not vice versa. In this instance it would be nice if the related item worked two-way and not just one-way.

  5. Refresh button on the main Case View Interface

    Please add a "Refresh" button to the main case view interface.

    In an environment where multiple agents can pick up and make changes to the same ticket, it would be useful to be able to refresh your view of the case to make sure the latest update has been loaded. To the best of my knowledge, the only way to do this at present is either to close the case window and reopen or pressing the save button and run the risk losing your changes.

  6. Copying Opportunities - Deselect 'stage'

    When copying an opportunity, it copies across information including dates, financial info, contacts and stage.

    There are options to not copy across notes, activities, people, organisations, transactions and recent items. The stage is always copied across.

    Our users are unable to downgrade opportunities to previous stages.

    This means that when users try to copy an opportunity and then (because it’s a new opportunity), change the stage back to 0, the system prevents it.

    The solution: Add an option in the copy across menu to deselect ‘stage’

  7. Remove/Change 'Add Competitor' and similar relationship Buttons

    The "Add Competitor" button on the Organisations tab of an Opportunity appears, even if the system has been adjusted to remove that relationship type.

    Ideally, these buttons should be fully customisable but at minimum, it should only should possible relationships.

  8. FORMS - Tabulating fields in forms

    It would be ideal to be able to fit 2 or more field horizontally to be able to view more information in a form:

    example: Telephone - Fax Number
    Also
    example 2: Checkbox - textbox with additinal info

  9. Restrict Workbooks Bulletins to Specific Users

    Add the ability to restrict who receives bulletins from Workbooks.

    Although bulletins can be very useful for admins, they may be misleading for users, particularly when referring to customised pages/views or referring to disabled/restricted features

    The bulletins tend to suggest contacting workbooks support if they have issues but in practise, it would be better for end users (and Workbooks Support) if they spoke to the Sys Admins in the first instance.

    The solution: Allow admins to restrict bulletins to them who can disseminate information to the relevant users.

  10. Product Codes

    We would like to be able to restrict access to certain product codes to specific user groups in order to help assist with reporting etc.

  11. Auto Refresh For Specific Window

    To have a configurable setting next to the manual refresh button in the bottom of the cases window that will have AUTO REFRESH. So setting the feature to on and the interval to to 30 will automatically refresh that specific window (being cases queue) every 30 seconds.

  12. Copy Database (deleting records and audits before copy is made) - Storage Solution

    While copying an existing LIVE database, the user should have the ability to delete things like audits, records, etc... made after a curtain date so that the NEW database has only records made AFTER a curtain point, but the LIVE database retains all record types. (removes storage limitations so a user can copy more databases over without buying more storage)

  14. Create or update contact from within email.

    It would be useful when you have an email from an unknown (to workbooks) contact to be able to have an action button from the email window. You could create a new contact using the new email address, or linking it to an existing contact.

  15. Address API

    In building an integration kit to work with workbooks apis I have noticed a need to import/export multiple addresses for organizations and people. As it is set up at the moment we can only utilize the API to grab the "Main Contact Details". However in practice it is necessary to have a shipping address, a billing address and possibly a contact address at the very minimum, if not multiple addresses in cases of large companies with multiple warehouses, offices, etc. An Api for grabbing addresses would be invaluable.

  16. Open Case from Opportunity

    From an Opportunity one can already call or email or create a To Do, but for us and perhaps other companies, it would be nice to have a New Case option which creates a case for whatever the opportunity was so that the next stage of processing can occur without a case having to be manually raised - with all that manual data input.

    I would expect it to copy across the contact details and to auto-relate the opportunity to the case that has just been created.

  17. 2 way SMS Texting directly linked to workbooks contact such as through Coretalk.co.za

    My customers prefer texting over email.

    Can we have free-flowing SMS text conversations linked to the contacts? Lots of SMS CRMs allow templated marketing to the customer and templated responses from the customer BUT what I need recorded/captured by workbooks is the real life 2 way conversations I have with my customers. PLEASE HELP! Coretalk.co.za already offers this... can you link with them?

  18. Copy Function - When creating new users, it would be easier to copy an existing user when setting up a new user who does the same job.

    Copy an existing user, when setting up a new user, who do the same job. It would save a lot of time when setting up security/capabilities etc.

  19. Time Spent on Cases

    I have a requirement to monitor how much time is being spent working on cases.

    I'd like to see stopwatch functionality on the main Case form that allows users to click start when they work on a case (whether that me typing an email or replicating a problem, conference calls with customers etc) and a stop button when they have finished. The timer should resume from when it was last stopped so we can see a running total amount of time spent.

    The timer doesn't need to have a realtime display. Simply logging the time/date when the start and stop…

  20. Pop up's should not remain open or continue to pop up once activity is completed / Improve Snooze Function

    At present my staff often select the reminder for an activity or watch an activity of another user. If the reminder or watch is selected, the pop up window still comes up even in the even the task to activity is completed.

    It would be good to have any completed tasks removed from the pop up function.
