Workbooks Enhancements & Suggestions

At Workbooks, we think that our customers should have the opportunity to influence our product development priorities.

  1. View and Print Reports Macro Button from Organisations/People Record forms

    It would be really useful if you can add a macro button on forms layouts that can open a specific report, set criteria/filters (like date range etc) on the report so you can run, preview and print a customer specific report on that company you are currently in without closing the organisation report, open reports, find the report you want and set the filters manually.

    It would so much easier if you can run customer specific reports straight from the organisations record so you can quickly see customer's activity, invoice or case history on custom reports.

  2. recent reports

    Sort and filter reports by "Last Run At". This would help immensely with determining which reports are actively being used, and which ones can be removed or archived at larger organizations.

  3. Print Reports directly from Workbooks with print options and page settings

    At the moment, you can't print a report directly from Workbooks! The only option is export the report to excel!

    Can you add an option to print reports directly from Workbooks, and the ability to set printer settings, page layout and 'fit to page' when printing, similar to the way workbooks formats schedule report emails, with word wrap.

  4. An option to copy Dashboards

    An option to copy Dashboards and then edit it after for a differnt user. This is very time consuming when having to open each report and chart to copy and add to a new dashboard and then edit teh reports to match the right criteria for the new user.

  5. Import Options -

    Import Options - As a business we have two types of import mappings depending on whether it is a new quote or editing a existing quote, it would be good if you could name your mappings rather then using a existing mapping

  6. 'In between' operator for date ranges

    It would be really useful if we had an 'in between' operator when using date ranges within reports. As at the moment the only way of limiting to a specific time frame is by using a combination of 'on or after' and 'on or before'. Is this something that is in the pipeline ?

  7. Add criteria to mailing lists

    Having criteria on a mailing list would be beneficial. It would allow multiple mailing lists to be powered from a single summary view of a report. Something that would be far cleaner than 1 summary view per mailing list as it currently is.

  8. add last 6/12 months option on calendar range criteria

    It would be of great value for our reporting to have a last 12 months option on the calendar range as we don't really report on year to date. This would allow us to have more efficient report by reducing calculated column and other manipulation once the date is exported.

  9. Automaticly close event marketing campaign when maximum capacity for event is reached

    I use marketing campaigns to manage event registration through an integrated portal on our website.

    It would be great if you could enter the maximum capacity of the event so that it would automatically close when this number is reached as I have to monitor this daily.

  11. Ability to view the size of an attachment to an email

    It would be very useful to see how large an attachment is on an email to help with database capacity / storage. This would enable any large attachments to be deleted if no longer required.

  12. Enter Filter criteria (e.g. date range) on Summary view of a report to apply to the Detail view driving the report

    Similar to the idea to allow filtering on date criteria (e.g. this month/last month etc) but extend to allow user to apply filters on the report Summary views which are then applied to the Detail view driving the report. E.g. Detail view might contain all order line items for orders placed - Summary view shows Totals by Product Category by Customer. Would like to be able to apply a filter on the Summary view to restrict the data set to just this month or just a set of Customers etc.

  13. Add password protection to reports attached to emails (including automated emails)

    When sending reports to our partners we would like these files to be password protected. The reports are generated monthly and sent automatically.

  15. Report on Dropbox emails

    Be able to create a report on emails stored on Workbooks that enables you to bulk delete any extraneous emails that are not assigned to contacts within the system.

  16. Chart ALL rows of a report

    Currently when you create a report in Workbooks you are shown the first n rows of data, where n is the value set in your 'Lists' preference. If you chart the report either for a standalone chart or for inclusion in a dashboard then you will ONLY see n values in your report.

    If you report has more than the default value of 'Lists' you will NOT see the data on your chart from the additional rows. So yes you can alter your preference but if the chart is redrawn by another user with a different preference value, or the…

  17. Multiple Data on Line Charts

    I would like to plot multiple data on one line chart, such as various categorised Lost Opportunity reasons by amount per month, or number of cases per type closed over time, where the multiple lines on the chart would be the case types.

  18. Report based on Campaign Status

    In the Campaign window, it would be quite beneficial if a report could be created by clicking on a Member status under that tab, whether system-set or custom. That way, one could see only the members of a particular status.

  19. Timesheet

    It would be really beneficial for us to get visibility in Workbooks of the utilisation of our consultants, our average daily rates, the projects each consultant is spending their time on etc. An integrated timesheet functionality would save us tons of time.

    Some of our customer already use the activity functionality in Workbooks to track time utilisation. This is normally achieved by adding meeting activity to either an order or a case and then using the start and end times to calculate the time delivered.

    It is then possible to write a report which add together all the time delivered against a specific case or order.

    We recognise this isn’t as elegant as a time sheet, so we will keep the timesheeting requirement under review.

  20. Print Dashboards & Graphs

    It would be useful to be able to print/copy graphs from reports and dashboards.
